There was a Bhil named Chitrabhanu who used to feed his family by hunting. He was very poor, sometimes he would get prey and sometimes not. When he could not find a victim, he used to take a loan from a moneylender. Slowly he got a lot of debt. The moneylender started torturing him a lot for debt recovery.

One day, on the day of Shivratri, the moneylender imprisoned Chitrabhanu in his house to recover the debt. On that day Shivratri was also worshiped in the house of the moneylender. So Chitrabhanu saw and listened to that worship with full devotion.

By worshiping Mahashivratri, a feeling of pity arose in the mind of the moneylender and he left Chitrabhanu and said that you should pay off my debt.

Hearing such words of the moneylender, Chitrabhanu went hunting on the same day. But Kgitrabhanu did not get the victim, Chitrabhanu wandered and reached a very dense forest. It had been a long night for Chitrabhanu, he sat down on a bill tree and waited for the hunt. There was a Shivling under that tree, it was covered in leaves, so that Chitrabhanu could not see it. The first watch of the night had begun. Chitrabhanu plucked the leaves of the bill and started throwing them down. Those leaves used to fall on the Shivling below. As soon as the leaves fell, the worship of his first watch was completed, due to which a feeling of kindness started to arise in his mind too.

Then there Chitrabhanu saw a deer coming and aimed arrows at the deer. Seeing this, Hirani urged Chitrabhanu that I am still proud and I am also in labor pain. Let me go now, I will come to you after giving birth to your child. There was a feeling of pity in Chitrabhanu's mind, so he let the deer go. And waited

Then the second watch was taken, Chitrabhanu started throwing the bills down like before by plucking the leaves. Then she came another deer, seeing her, Chitrabhanu again targeted her, seeing her, the season has come free in the deer and I am searching for your husband, please let me go, I will meet your master and come to you. I promise you Chitrabhanu even let him fly. And after plucking the leaves of the bill, he fought to throw them down and in the third quarter, he completed the worship of the third watch.

Chitrabhanu kept waiting, then there another deer came there with three children. Seeing Chitrabhanu, immediately the arrow started dying on it, then the deer said - wait, hunter, I will die now, my children are very young, I will leave them near their address for you. I will promise you I will come near. Chitrabhanu let him go too and waited for him. While waiting for the fourth quarter, Chitrabhanu kept on plucking the leaves of the bill and throwing them down.

Then a deer came there and seeing Chitrabhanu started saying, have you hunted my family, if you have done it, then kill me too. Chitrabhanu told the whole story of the night. The deer said that all three of them are my only wife. You let me go too, I bring your family with you, then you hunt all the members of my family. Chitrabhanu said it is fine that you go too but keep your word. The deer leaves from there. Chitrabhanu was hungry and thirsty for the whole day, his fast was also completed. On which Lord Shiva was pleased and changed his heart. When the deer came with your family, Chitrabhanu left the deer and the family. Lord Shiva was seeing all this, Lord Shankar was very happy with Chitrabhanu doing this and gave salvation to Chitrabhanu and joined Shivgan and called you near in Shiva-lok.
