Story of Jatayu and Sampati's entire life
Story of Jatayu and Sampati's entire life
Friends, today I am going to tell you the story of two vulture brothers. The names of these two birds were Jatayu and Sampati, Sampati was the elder and Jatayu was the younger. I am writing the complete description of these two brothers.
Jatayu and Sampati are described in the Ramayana, both of whom played an important role in the search for Sita. Jatayu and Sampati were birds of a vulture species. Both of them were sons of vulture king Arun, they were born in the lineage of sage Kashyapa, wife of sage Kashyap was Vinata. Sage Kashyapa had two sons, Garuna and Arun. Garun Dev went in the service of Lord Vishnu as his vehicle. Arun became the charioteer of Sun God and came to his service. These two sons were born to Arun Deva, Jatayu and Sampati, both were very powerful, both had very fast flight, both lived in the vicinity of Vindhyachal mountain and protected the rishis from demons. By serving the sages, the sages had blessed them with a lot of divine power.
Both of them were proud of this power, due to this pride, they made a condition with the sages living in the Himalayas that both of us touch the sun. Both brothers Jatayu and Sampati flew towards the Sun, flying towards the Sun, when they both reached the Sun, Jatayu's wings started burning due to the sun, then Sampati covered the younger brother Jatayu with his wings, by doing so, Sampati's entire life The body got burnt in the bright rays of the sun. Both the brothers started falling towards the ground, Jatayu fell near Panchavati but he was healthy. While Sampati fell on the south beach, he was completely burnt and his wings were also completely burnt due to which he could not fly. And started living on a platform on the same shore. The two brothers would be separated, they did not meet. Moon and sage Nishakar treated Sampati but they could not fly and the divine power of both the brothers got burnt in the brilliance of the sun.
Dasaratha and Jatayu's friendship in the battle of Devasura
When the Devasura war was going on, King Dasharatha also participated in the war on behalf of the gods. In the war, when King Dasaratha and Shambrasur were fighting with the demons, Jatayu helped King Dasharatha a lot. King Dasharatha was very pleased to see Jatayu's war policy and might and made Jatayu his friend. And together they fought with many demons and put them to death.
Jatayu's meeting with Shri Ram, Mother Sita and Lakshmana
When Shri Ram was spending 14 years of exile to fulfill his father's promise. So you in the last year of exile Meet Jatayu at Panchavati and Shri Ram introduces himself. Jatayu was very sad after hearing the news of the death of King Dasharatha, but Shri Ram was very happy to meet Mata Sita and Lakshmana. Jatayu asked Shri Ram to stay in Panchavati as a hut.
Battle of Jatayu and Ravana
Jatayu considered Shri Ram as his son and mother Sita as his son's bride. When Shurpanakha's nose was cut in Lakshmana by the order of Shri Ram, Ravana came to take vengeance along with his maternal uncle Marich to kidnap Sita. Here, Marich took the form of a golden deer. In his attraction, Mother Sita asked Shri Ram to hunt him, then Shri Ram went after him to hunt the deer. And Lakshman was left there to protect Sita Mata, but when Shri Ram hunted a deer in the form of a deer, Maarich called Lakshman ji in the voice of Shri Ram, Mother Sita got disturbed after hearing that voice and called Lakshman ji. Forced to go to Shri Ram. When Lakshman ji went to Shri Ram ji, Ravana deceitfully kidnapped Sita Mata and took him to Pushpak Vimana, Jatayu sees her and immediately starts chasing Ravana's plane flying fast and after reaching there, you have blown your wings. attacks Ravana. There is a fierce battle between Jatayu and Ravana. Jatayu strikes Ravana with all his might and injures Ravana, in the end Ravana gets angry and hits Jatayu's wing with his Chandrahasya Khadag, due to which one wing of Jatayu is cut off and Jatayu falls to the earth. is They suffer a lot because of their wings being cut off. He waits for Shri Ram by tolerating the pain.
Death of the bird Raj Jatayu
Here Shri Ram and Lakshmana came back and became very distraught after not finding Sita Mata. He was wandering in the forest while searching for Sita ji, when he found injured Jatayu on the way, Jatayu ji was counting his last breath on the verge of death, when Jatayu met Shri Ram, he told the whole situation and told that there was a person named Ravana. The demon has kidnapped Sita and she has gone towards the south.
Seeing such speed of fatherlike Jatayu, a stream of tears came out of Shri Ram's eyes and he told Jatayu that I will heal all your wounds and make you completely healthy. Hearing such a thing, Jatayu said to Shri Ram that Lord, only by the name of you man gets salvation and my good fortune that I got a chance to die in your lap, I will not let this chance go, you allow me and you search for Sita. And give death penalty to Ravana. Saying this, Jatayu gave up his life. Shri Ram performed the last rites of Jatayu like his father and performed Pind Daan. Shri Ram then went ahead in search of Mother Sita.
How did Sampati help Shri Ram?
When Rama and the monkey Sugriva had become friends, Sugriva sent one of his detachments in all directions to the annoyance of Mother Sita and in the south, Jamwant, Angad Hanuman ji and a detachment of a monkey army, they searched for the detachment on the southern beach. Arrived and exhausted everyone decided to lose their lives, then they got a voice and they saw a giant bird sitting on a rock, it was wealth and he wanted to eat them. When Jamwant narrated the whole situation to him and gave the news of Jatayu's death to Sampati, Sampati was very sad after hearing the news of his brother's death. He said that he was sitting one evening, then he saw a plane going through the sky and a woman was calling Rama for her help and Ravana was also in that plane, perhaps she was Sita.
Hearing about the property, a ray of hope had arose in all the monkey army. Sampati further said that the vulture's eyes can see very far, I am able to see Mother Sita now, she is sitting under a tree in the Ashoka Vatika of Lankapati Ravana and the rakshasi army is surrounding her from all four sides. Sampati inspired the monkey army to go to Lanka. After which Hanuman ji went to Lanka and searched Sita Mata. ,
So friends, you saw how both the vulture king bird brothers had played an important role in the search of Sita, the mother of Shri Ram, if both the brothers were not there, then perhaps the search of mother Sita would have been impossible. If we serve others, then we should be selfless. And if we have power, then we should not be proud of it, otherwise it will lead us towards destruction. And friends, Jatayu and wealth were birds, we are humans, when we can serve someone, can't we?
